Curvature vs Peyronie’s Disease: What Do These Mean to a Young Man?
However, a more pronounced bend or curve of the penis could possibly mean you have Peyronie’s Disease (PD).
In this blog piece, I have dived deep into research journals and government publications to find out and present to you all you need to know about normal versus extreme curvature and what you can do about it!
What exactly is PD?
Peyronie’s Disease is a medical condition which causes the penis to bend significantly when erect. It is more common among men over forty but can also affect 20 and 30 year olds!
According to Britain’s reputable National Health Service (NHS), you will know you have PD when you feel a hard lump on the shaft of your penis.
This lump causes a significant bend when fully erect.
Most men don’t mind having a curved penis! In fact, some think that a slightly upward penile curvature allows them to consistently hit the G-spot! However, those who have Peyronie’s Disease know a different reality.
PD often causes some sort of pain and makes it extremely difficult for young men to have sex. Some research suggests that it may cause erectile dysfunction, which also makes it difficult for your woman to enjoy sex.
What causes PD?
Peyronie’s Disease is thought to be caused by physical trauma (injury) to the penis especially when erect. Which means if you don’t have it you may want to go slow on those extreme sex positions that may bend your penis unnaturally.
And if you’ve been doing it missionary style all your life and you still somehow find yourself with the disease, then it most probably runs in the male line of your family.
Other studies have shown that PD can also be brought about by an autoimmune disorder; a disease that causes the body’s immune system to attack its normal cells and organs.
What does it mean for young men who have Peyronie’s Disease?
As said before, the disease mostly affects men over 40 but occurrences of the disease in younger men have also been recorded.
Our National Institute of Health (NIH) estimates that the prevalence of the disease may be up to 23% in men over 40 but also argues that the figure may be much higher because most men may be embarrassed to report such conditions.
This shows us the worst effect of the disease which is the embarrassment it causes. Not being able to have sex causes embarrassment, may bring about anxiety, stress and may even cause you to break up with your partner.
Peyronie’s Disease also takes away your confidence during sex (that is if you can still do it).
Most men know that the penis size, shape and appearance matters to girls. And a slightly misshapen one can really put a damper on things!
But the situation is not all doom and gloom.
The next section will show you the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel!
What can you do about it?
Not being able to enjoy sex as you did before is a sad experience. Not being able to satisfy your woman is an even far worse feeling.
And not many men would like to live the rest of their lives like Catholic priests! That is why you are probably here.
The good news is that there is something you can do about it. PD can be treated!
If you can handle a little bit of pain then you can go for surgery. There is also the ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy); a medical intervention which has shown some effectiveness in removing the hard lump that causes PD.
Though effective, surgery and ESWT can burn a hole in your pocket! These two methods cost an arm and a leg in most hospitals across the United States.
A more affordable treatment solution is the use of traction devices aka penis extenders.
How do traction devices work?
Traction devices basically stretch the penis naturally helping you achieve a straighter curvature. Can’t I just do this with my hands? You ask. Well, yes you could do it but it probably won’t be effective.
Penis extenders have been around for decades and have proven effectiveness. Like all products, there are some which are really good and others which don’t work as well.
Quality ones work like a dream.
Within a couple of weeks you get a longer and straighter penis allowing you to pin your missus just the way she likes it! The stretching tension will lengthen your penis tissue and remove the hard lump naturally by more blood pumping through it.
Some extenders use a vacuum device to help with the stretching while others use mechanical pulling devices. Either way, to be safe, you need to find the ones which have been made to the highest standards.
You don’t want to play games with your shlong, trust me!
So which are the quality penis extenders? There are many quality penis extenders made right here in the U.S.A.
